The project's assumption is to provide its recipients (inhabitants of the region and tourists) with tools to actively participate in cultural events and to digitize the resources of cultural institutions for future generations.
The priority assumptions of the Project will be achieved thanks to a number of tasks including increasing the scope of the use of information and communication technologies in the sphere of public services through digitization, publication and application of regional heritage resources held by cultural units.
Digitization, apart from a kind of security copy, enables making the collections public in digital form as well as using them for various purposes, e.g. promotional or for virtual guidance. Thanks to the implementation of the Project, the region's heritage will become widely available to those interested in it, it will be easier to conduct scientific research, and the use of a digitized resource for promotional and guide purposes will significantly affect the tourism of the region, including making it easier for foreigners to participate in it.
